In early October I met Alex and a friend running down the mountain, we talk about his experience in the career of Mont Blanc. I propose to animate a story in first person telling of his experience, he says, "... the race is undoubtedly the most important mountain in the world." I invite you to read the chronicle is fabulous also gives us the photos are spectacular. Our Club would like to thank Alex, Ivan and Paco to share their experience with us. Chronicle Alex Bolinches Aznar:
Alex, Ivan and Paco Last August I took part in the Ultra Trail du Mont-Blan c, which is undoubtedly the most important mountain race in the world. Not the longest or hardest, but UTMBS is the reference for all lovers of trailrunning. It is for many reasons, but especially because of the beauty of the layout for the excellent organization and the atmosphere here is great about the race.
Running for the Mont-Blanc is a unique experience. For everyone who loves the mountains, running between those landscapes is the closest thing to paradise that race and lets not forget pictures.
The organization of the event is flawless. We notice you're a race of great from the moment you step on Chamonix. andrea massari Both the previous and the organization throughout the layout is very professional, caring corridor to the smallest detail. But if something is surprising UTMBS the great atmosphere that exists throughout the race, and lots of people there cheering throughout the track.
Are almost four and a half in the afternoon and very little for the exit. Ivan and I hardly talk to Paco bustle, music, riders, cowbells people that encourages the speaker ...
We are located in almost the last, looking ahead to two thousand people. Give the exit music by Vangelis and cheering the runners and the public is increasing. After several minutes passed under the arch output, but walking, not able to run yet.
Let us start the race behind the village and immediately go into the mountains for a path that leaves us comfortable running in the early hours. From there, andrea massari the race begins and serious runners were positioned and choosing the pace.
Begin the long climbs and descents, one after another, and routine follow throughout the race. Run where you can, down the pace, save energy, food, drink, dress warmly, passing checkpoints and provisioning ...
The first night passed quickly andrea massari and by dawn we entered Italy Aosta Valley (spectacular). We have 17 km of downhill very fast and very technical in the final, to Courmayer, 77 km (here the first break). andrea massari
Up to 95 km trail that we allow to run for a long time. A couple of checkpoints and eat, and go back up to the Grand Col Ferret in Switzerland. Windy hill in the cold, so dress warmly and touched down again current. Almost andrea massari 21 km of downhill trails andrea massari and endless meadows.
The following supplies body asks me off (they are half past five in the afternoon). Decide to try to sleep, still with forty three thousand km and climb vertical meters. I achieve sleep ten minutes, and again at night up and down the last three mountains that remain.
Descend almost walking until we entered the town without realizing it, we want to target. They are ten and a half in the morning, the streets full of people cheering and screaming your name. It's been over 40 hours since we leave.
Not if I sleep, hunger, fatigue, thirst ... but I feel that if it was worth many months of hard you train and race. The three heroes, Alex Bolinches Paco Bayarri and Ivan Stephen
