Jil Sander presented last weekend during Milan Fashion Week the latest spring-summer collection by Raf Simons, a Belgian designer. The result: a minimalist ready-to-wear collection with an explosion of neon colors, a reference to old fashioned haute couture and maximalist volume.
Neon Colors Neon colors pink, orange, green, yellow and blue you saw back in the huge strapless dresses and skirts, draped tops, voluminous trousers and boyfriend blazers. Even the bottom of the heels were provided with a matching neon color. "A mille feuille of color," said Raf Simons.
Line Game horizontal lines you saw on leather hola moda and plastics bags back. The lines also graced the maxi-dress, in color combinations such as black-and-pink-blue and white or black and transparent.
