All five kinds of rhino species alive today face some kind of threat, whether from poaching, carol barton loss of habitat through deforestation or human settlements encroaching on their land. Maar voor die 2de boek kan begin moet die vertalings eers afgehandel word. Hoe vinnig ek byvoor-beeld die Engelse vertaling kan hanteer, sal ek nog moet sien. Want dit beteken dat die +-250 tekeninge se byskrifte ook vertaal sal moet word. Maar dit is vir my nog eens ‘n heerlike uitdaging wat weer voorle^. Ek en my vrou gaan vroeg volgende jaar so ‘n bietjie die seelug inadem en dan het ek met mense afgespreek om ons op ‘n toer te neem van ‘n paar ure na waar Dirkie carol barton Uys en sy Pa, Piet Uys gesneuwel het met die Slag van Italeni. Baie interessante verwikkelinge vir my, hieromtrent. Ek het op Google Earth begin, plekke ge-identifiseer carol barton en met mense kontak gemaak en VOILA! ~ ek het uitgekom by die regte plek!! Nieteenstaande dat soveel mense beweer dat die plek waar die Slag van Italeni plaasgeving het NOOIT gekry is nie !! Wat ‘n klomp onsin ! Dan sou Dirkie se liggaam ook verdwyn het ens, ens ~ alles net terwille van propagandistiese vermaaklikheid.
